WESTLEIGH New Homes eco-friendly development in North Leverton has proved so popular with home buyers that just one home now remains. The development, which is made up of twenty two two, three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes ranging in price from £99,950 to £190,000, had averaged two sales a week when it opened earlier this year, and recently hit the headlines after Westleigh decided to include a special facility for roosting bats. The development is also named Pipistrelle Court after the protected species. Westleigh, of Whetstone, Leicestershire, built a specially-heated double garage at the site in North Leverton, Nottinghamshire - a joint venture with Longhurst Homes - where the bats can hibernate during the winter. Robert Orr, New Homes Manager for Westleigh New Homes, said the facility had become a talking point for those looking to move to the area, whilst the homes themselves had met a strong local need. “Whilst we've had enquiries from many types of buyers, Pipistrelle Court has been particularly popular with those already living locally and offers a lot of flexibility of choice,” he said. “Based on the interest we've had so far, the last home is sure to attract a lot of viewers so we'd advise anyone wanting to buy to make a reservation quickly.” |
